Mirrors & Portraits

In the second week of our Arty Beginnings project, the children explored their identities through self-reflection. Using mirrors, they discussed the variations in shapes, sizes, colours and shades they observed in themselves and each other. This activity inspired the children to create self-portraits. They used a variety of colours to accurately sketch their features, paying close attention to the finer details of their faces and skin tones. The result was a wonderful collection of artwork, now proudly displayed within our Arty Beginnings displays.
