This week’s #peakeoftheweek was all about rockets! Grasshoppers have spent lots of time today making their very own rockets while our 3-4 year olds witnessed a very exciting rocket launch right here at the nursery.

Our rocket, made from a plastic bottle and decorated to look like a real life European Space Agency rocket, blasted off into the air with the help of vinegar and bicarbonate of soda which were combined inside the bottle with explosive results. The bicarbonate of soda was added to the bottle inside a folded tissue parcel which resulted in a timed release, making for suspenseful viewing!
