The outdoor learning offers children a range of experiences such as large construction or den building where children can work in collaboration with others and try out their problem-solving skills. The practitioners skilfully implement literacy and mathematical learning into outdoor activities. Children are provided with various tools to encourage independence and learn to do small tasks for themselves and develop their core strength.
Outdoors children are more likely to adopt healthy attitudes to food, so we grow our own vegetables and herbs and children learn about seasons and nature cycles by observing apple trees bloom in Spring and lose their leaves in Autumn.
Our gardens also offer an unlimited scope for imagination as children can enjoy making potions and pies in mud kitchens, dress up as heroes and run to the rescue or perform on our stage!
