We welcomed Peter Moorhouse from Irresistible Learning to our Training Day to share his share his expertise on woodwork within Early Years.

During the day we explored woodwork, wood play and sustainability. Focusing on meaningful experiences with real tools, natural materials and open-ended resources and how this supports children’s creativity, confidence, problem-solving and risk assessment skills.

We learned ways to use natural and reclaimed materials more intentionally to help children develop an understanding of sustainability and care for the environment.
